But hey, who would think an Onyx parent would be honest?

Yes, four of them to Portland State in a recruiting class that had 14. That's right, 14. Pretty exclusive.

And there was what, one, that signed with Oregon who is going to be sitting with a roster of 32, and that's before walk ons, of which I understand that there is at least one former local girl who is walking on there. A roster of 33 (at least). Good luck with that.
Are you that stupid to think TopDrawer is the final source for NLIs?

Onyx has 23 players on their roster and 21 of them have committed to play in college, the 2 that haven't are currently juniors

What do you consider to be "good D1 schools" and what are your "lower level schools?"

What are your credentials to have such expert opinions?

The girl that signed to Oregon is a USWNT age group national player who has made a roster and played overseas, I think she will be fine.

Is Top Drawer where you get all of your soccer information?

What is the deal with you and Onyx? Skiba?

There's a funny system called the NCAA. They have rankings based on performance and college coach opinions. Programs that consistently perform well and are high in the rankings are "good." Quite simple really.

Oh, so if you keep adding in players and classes eventually you can get to 20. I see how that math works. Gee, add in two or three classes of kids, that's how it works, LOL. You must be one of the junior Onyx parents, since the older ones constantly use TopDrawer as their source to try to show "superiority". So glad the age year shift happened so that they could indoctrinate some new parents into their world of stupidity. And hey, tell your dd to not act up on her official visit, she will get that offer pulled. Onyx players excel at that.

Yeah, because Oregon's roster is basically completely crap. Last year in, year out, in the Pac 12. Why someone with those "credentials" would go there shows you her stupidity. Is she looking forward to the new coach after next year? Better hope that new coach likes her.

Because Oregon is a national powerhouse in every single sport except women's soccer. It's a matter of time until they get the right coach and they are in the hunt.

Or you can do ecnl 10k a year and end up getting 1k a year to play at PSU with Laura that has been in the dumpster for ages...

The YNT player is a feather in Kat's hat. The team has been slowly improving. Recruiting is tough when you are ranked near the bottom in a state that rains all the time. I would give Kay a few more years and the team will keep improving.

My daughter wants to play college soccer. Currently, she isn't playing ECNL or Thorns. I'm not a fan of ODP. I know that ECNL gets girls a lot of exposure, but how does that work if you are a bench player? How do those girls get noticed? If my daughter were to try out for ECNL and make the team, what happens if she doesn't make the field - or plays 10 minutes in the games?

Is she better off playing premier? Maybe she could try playing up a year on an OYSA team for more of a challenge and possibly more playing time? Do clubs allow play-ups anymore? Thoughts?

Do you have a better chance getting noticed by college coaches on an ECNL team no matter what? Or is it better to play premier and get the playing time during games?

She doesn't need a full-ride scholarship, but she's not going to play Community College soccer either.
I think it would be wise for your daughter to find out what type of college play she should be targeting. Is she A D2 or NAIA? I know many (seriously.... lots) of young ladies that have gone on to play college soccer without ever having played ODP or ECNL. Most of them play NAIA and have had wonderful college experiences with playing time. In order for this to be a scholarship option she would need to qualify for an academic scholarship. There are some good ones out there.

On the other hand if your daughter has D1 interest then it would be helpful for her to play on teams where the speed of play is higher and the competition is greater. There is a full spectrum of D1 to choose from. College soccer isn't all that hard to go play as long as expectations are in line with playing ability. Best of luck to you!!

Oregon's roster is not crap. That is ridiculous. The PAC 12 is a very hard conference for women's soccer. Additionally, the USWNT player will be in company with others who also are NT players. I have to think that the majority of the people on here spouting off about "lower level" D1 schools would be very thrilled if little Sally had offers from these schools.

Oregon girl's soccer has produced players that have had college success. Obviously they are not the star player at Stanford but there is much more to college soccer success than playing on the winning team. And, thank goodness for that since every single year only one team wins. There are teams that are very good in their conference and make it to the playoffs who would get beat 9 times out of 10 by Oregon. The reality is that all of the Pac 12 teams have potential to be very good.

I hate the way people want to tear down the accomplishments of their children's peers.

Untrue? Then please, enlighten everyone as to why the offer was pulled. And where is she going to play next year?

Sometimes,if an offer is pulled, it's because a student's grades or test scores don't meet the school's minimum requirements.
