ADF has a couple of strong age groups in Oregon but it's not a club.

CF Oregon Boys is a club without any substance, leadership, coaching or direction.

    Try again.

Of course now like 7 clubs have DAs at the younger ages.
When a local coach blowhard makes up stories about becoming a future HS aged USDA club in Oregon, those in the know at the Timbers DA confronted him about this lie, isn't that what most sane people do when presented with falsehoods? You have a point perhaps they of just ignored him like most in the community do. Live and Learn.

I for one would love to hear what kind of quality is actually at the Crossifire Oregon Boys program? As we prepare leaving ADF for other local club tryouts. Thanks, appreciated.

Definitely troll. No one would leave ADF for Crossfire.

Yeah, because in the history of ever, nobody ever leaves one club for another. C'mon.

If ADF falls apart (not saying it will), at some point even those parents who might not otherwise club-hop may have no other choice. And if you're criteria for a new club is a) located within Washington County, b) has a premier-level boys program, and c) is not Westside Timbers (as a good number of ADF players used to wear the axe and left, for various reasons), then that leaves FC and Crossfire. Your club choice may depend, ultimately, on which side of Scholls Ferry you live on.

Interesting. Not sure which age group you're posting about for WT.

Having volunteered at the WT tryouts last year, quite a few players there, with some going back and forth trying to make their decision. Had to decide which team would see them as starters.

Joaquim and others worked hard making phone calls to players. Seems he forgot how much Westside was there for him when his family was going through an extremely tough time. Understood that he found a funder and was able to start a club. All good and wish the best and everyone ended up where they would get playing time. Nothing more to read into it.

Crossfire Oregon Boys are a Clackamas County club. LO, West Linn, Wilsonville and Oregon City.

Westside Timbers T/S are Washington County

                    SSC is Washingtion County.

                    BSC is Washington/Multnomah Co.

Not sure you knew about that fact.

Yes, but most of the decent players (boys) come from Southside, with a few from LO. The other feeders all stink.

Wasn't in the room when it happened, room when it happened.

But honestly, this whole concept of the Timbers Academy as being the sole pathway has been tried and is honestly a failure.

We need multiple healthy clubs in this state, with multiple potential development pathways.

Southside (TIgard) is falling apart. They pulled out of Crossfire Oregon boys and are trying to stay afloat. Crossfire Oregon is LOSC, WUSC (WL/Wilsonville), ORegon CIty & Clackamas united (rumored to out soon as well).

Not really a destination for strong WA. county kids who already have the strongest boys club in their backyard.

News Flash 6 years ago it was a concept...today it is reality.

                            It happened.

With that said what does that have to do with making up stories about becoming a DA program?

Are you suggesting there should be more DA Academy teams in Portland your nuts they can barely make the one they have even work when it's fully funded by the MLS Timbers.

Funny the only ones that bring this Crossfire history are Timbers' coaches (and it usually that it was a distinct possibility at one time).

"Big" clubs miss players all the time, whether in England, Spain, or little P-town. The sport needs multiple healthy clubs, irrespective of what platform they are playing in.

Hahaha...you just lost all credibility. Southside is a joke, and everybody knows that.
