Any coach that has had their team in 50 games already is seriously failing his players. 30-35 max per year is the proper number for development. But, of course, GPS isn't about development.

Not when you have depth. You are failing your team if you are afraid get all the girls on the field. GPS are able to change lineups and continue to win because ALL the girls are developing. No girl has played 50 games. Unlike FCP where the same girls played the vast majority all 10 games because they are desperate to win. The rest paid thousands for about 30 minutes so far. Wouldn't it be nice to get all 20+ girls at FCP 30 games apiece? If you do the math, that's around 70 games.

GPS has no depth. 3 decent players maybe. Rest would be pine riders on ECNL B teams. Does GPS even have a B team? Nope. Can't attract flies to that debacle.

Ecnl teams are a joke. No one went there this year and their players are getting underdeveloped vs the other teams around.

Thorns are in the same group as ETFC 01's? That's ridiculous.

Isn't there a former Eugene player on Thorns Academy? Man, how much do you have to hate your old team to quit and drive four hours round trip to practice with a team that does the same Far West as your old team, the same winter league and your old team, and the same tournament even the same tournament bracket as your old team. I heard things were a mess in Eugene but I thought that was only the 02 team. Guess not.
