    Las Vegas Players Showcase

Schedules are out. Many Oregon teams will be headed down. Looks like some teams got better competition than others. Is it better to have more chances for wins or more chances to lose but play vs much better teams?

Strong enough division so you are with good teams.

Not too strong or you'll be showcasing yourself chasing another team around the field like Oregon Ecnl teams with -14 goal differentials.

Except a Thorns Academy sandbag is a 5-0 loss. If they actually play on age and against other elite level teams from the ECNL or GDA, then they lose 20-0.

They are playing low level teams in Vegas but I don't think it was their choice.

A lot of Ecnl teams are a joke now. Hilarious to think that some people feel that an acronym disregards facts or logic.

            What a scam.

You're right. GDA. What a scam.

This is by design. If you are going to college showcases you want to give yourself the best chance to stand out. Playing B and C teams you get to dominate and look better. Save the tough games for non showcases.

Thorns are in the same group as ETFC 01's? That's ridiculous.

Yep. Too bad for Thorns. They'll get shellacked.

No GPS 03 team? Still hiding from real competition...

It was on the tentative schedule but that schedule has become very full since they keep winning tournaments and playing on. Perhaps they should have registered, beaten the easy teams, and then quit when the path became difficult. They have played 50 games and many more to come. That is a lot of games compared to some other teams. For example, FCP has played 10 winning 4. Good luck to the Oregon teams attending.

So funny the whiny ECNL parents over on the ECNL Results thread come over here to bash the thorns. But when the pathetic results of the local ECNL teams are pointed out, it's "but they are just girls, they are trying their best". F'n hypocrites.

Smart if you are trying to keep parents engaged.

Any coach that has had their team in 50 games already is seriously failing his players. 30-35 max per year is the proper number for development. But, of course, GPS isn't about development.
