If you only knew the quality needed to get a full ride in the development academy she don't have them apples my friend. So your only writing will be a rejection letter.

Those with kids getting fully funded placement in the GDA will have it with humility and appreciation all the best.

Certainly none of the current Thorns Academy roster would be getting a free ride for anything - except maybe a free ride back to the caves of Gresham. Thorns Academy will only survive if they can somehow convince ALL of the current ECNL players in Oregon to move. Since that is a non-starter, it's pretty clear that Thorns Academy will continue to be a complete and utter failure.

Thorns Academy will only survive if they can somehow convince ALL of the current ECNL players in Oregon to move. It sounds like Ecnl Oregon coaches and parents are getting desperate. No one coming to their tryouts and they can't give spots away.

You shouldn't count the 3rd division players that don't even want to do it. If you count actual players that are good you don't have any coming out. Just look at your older ages. And don't expect to be developed well, your coaches will try everything to recruit your kids spot away while your toxic parent group says their is no talent out there.

Oh the Thorns Academy does need those "mediocre" ECNL players. All they got this year were the ECNL "B" teamer pine riders and a couple of washed up Timbers Alliance "superstars" so they are in desperate need of talent. "Medicore" ECNL players would all be starters getting 100% PT on Thorns Academy.

My daughter is a TA player - we have never been affiliated with ECNL or Thorns academy except what we hear from her friends who have tried one or the other. I just know BS when I read it and my friend, you are the master BS-spewer.

Oregon Ecnl parents and especially their coaches aren't really known for their character or intellect.

They pretty much are used car sales people who are selling broken down cars but claim because a really nice one got sold somewhere else, theirs is just as good.
