This entire thread had nothing to do with the MLS-mandated Timbers academy but you are choosing to play dumb and split hairs so I'll spell that out for you. Show us a link where NWSL (you know, the organization that can barely afford to pay its pro players $8k/year, the organization that is losing its best players to Europe because they actually want to get paid) is mandating clubs pay for GDA. I will wait.
If you only knew the quality needed to get a full ride in the development academy she don't have them apples my friend. So your only writing will be a rejection letter.
Those with kids getting fully funded placement in the GDA will have it with humility and appreciation all the best.

Since that is a non-starter, it's pretty clear that Thorns Academy will continue to be a complete and utter failure.
It sounds like Ecnl Oregon coaches and parents are getting desperate. No one coming to their tryouts and they can't give spots away.
Just listen to their lying parent group. Everyone knows at least one Ecnl Oregon parent who is anxious that their kid isn't good but they are told
They need better players

Winter league schedules have been updated, but in typical OYSA fashion, they are still incomplete. Take your time idiots.

Oregon Ecnl is a laughable pyramid scheme. What it is in Oregon is still Mediocre players at mediocre clubs.
Doesn't help that their parent group is toxic. Seriously.

We know a toxic parent that left. Their kid actually isn't that good but they complained she wasn't playing forward...
Ecnl Oregon parents are gullible but many Are realizing they got duped but you see them trying to fix their situation by lying or selling.

So just to summarize. There is nothing in writing stating what Thorns' intentions are regarding fees next year. No promises for free anything. Just a bunch of gullible parents like yourself.

Oregon Ecnl parents and especially their coaches aren't really known for their character or intellect.
They pretty much are used car sales people who are selling broken down cars but claim because a really nice one got sold somewhere else, theirs is just as good.
