That is awesome! Cannot remember the last time we had an Oregon girl make an actual roster, this is exciting!

Thanks for stating the obvious, that is great. Try just being positive for this young lady instead of bashing on Oregon soccer for once in your frickin' life, please.

Had a chance to meet this family and player at a U of O ID camp earlier this year. Love when great things happen to great people. Well deserved and I am sure she will represent our country well. Go Mia.

Once again and as always, no Thorns Academy or Timbers Alliance players. Can't imagine why not...

That is awesome. Good to know it can be done. Even if rarely.

A former USWNT player grew up through the Wash Timbers program before moving to Crossfire ECNL. So, not only does that blow a hole in your post, but given that she could have moved to a local ECNL club, but didn't, shows you what she thought of the local ECNL clubs. Crossfire also has one on the current U18 club, which really makes this Oregon situation one akin to the blind squirrel finding the nut analogy.

One player making it doesn't remove the fact that 97% of the Oregon ECNL players suck. And I'm sure you know your daughter fits into that category, but at least she can brag that she plays in Oregon ECNL and that one player made the USWNT. Hey, living vicariously through the accomplishments of others.

Certainly doesn't suck for 97% of 2017 class

Clubs will hold up those shinny examples for the rest of the club to see. Only later do families realize those players are outliers.
