That's not the point dufus. The point is that Concordia is so much better of a program than Oregon or Oregon State. Not that Concordia could beat them. It's that they are much better at their level than Oregon or Oregon State is that their level. In NAIA before, and now in D2, Concordia is a strong program. In Division 1, and the Pac 12, Oregon and Oregon State are very mediocre.
That's not the way it the posts read. And my point Dufus is that if you have the capability of playing in the Pac 12, it's generally the case that a high level soccer player is not going to select the D2 school. The competition is apples and oranges and if a player wants to play at the highest level, Pac 12 and some other conferences are it.

I guess I look at it this way - if you are a high level quality soccer player who has the opportunity to play at UO or Concordia, where would you play? Concordia is a strong D2 program. More power to em.

I do not know of a player if being recruited by a PAC12 team, any PAC12 team that they would go all the way to D2. They might go a different D1 program, because they feel like they will be more of an impact player, or the school is a better fit. That is like saying you got into Stanford or Harvard, but went to PCC instead because you wanted a public school experience. A PAC12 recruited player might pick another D1 program because the school is a better fit, but not D2 where they might win more games but play crap competition. That just doesn't happen.

It actually does happen for some kids that choose the school academic first and foremost, and want a lot of play time

Doubtful. Watched all four teams. Both Oregon teams are inferior to the two Washington teams. Oregon and OSU are woeful. Bottom half of PAC 12 is terrible compared to top half.

Sure, that certainly makes sense. This thread started with claims that the soccer program at Concorida is better than UO and OSU. More success at Concordia at the lower levels? You bet. Does that make it "the best program"? Depends on your perspective. I just don't know of any high level soccer players who would select any D2 program over UO or OSU or any Pac 12 program absent extenuating circumstances.
