A 2-1 result has been reported on here for FCP.
Does anyone know who scored the goals?

Game was a tightly played game, Rf goal came off a long free kick from goalie and he outran the xfire d who got caught napping, not from a build up. #91 goal came on a free kick awarded because small forward fell over after coming in contact with a bigger defensive player which was questionable call considering all the contact the ref let go throughout the game. Both teams blew many other scoring chances throughout the game and it really could have gone either way. I will say this though- RF and AP are a handful to contain and fc would be lost without either of them on the field. Will be interesting to see the result of the two teams playing back to bank against each other coming off spring break on the 7th....

Here is what I took away from the game film. First off, as previously mentioned RF was working non stop. You can hear the Xfire coach constantly alerting his Defense to push up and stop giving RF room to roam. 2nd: Teams appeared to be evenly matched. Difference appeared to be the middle of the field. FC kept the ball moving, Xfire held onto the ball and played back. In fact, listen to the Xfire coach constantly berating his players for trying to play too fast, only to turn around and say that they were playing to slow. X fire midfield played back to defenders who turned the ball over and over. All in all, these are 12-13 year old boys. RF appeared to play hard, but fair. I enjoyed way hung the game. I felt bad for X fire, as I saw several kids who appeared to look like special players, but appeared to be surrounded by kick and chasers.

He scored an offsides goal in the first couple minutes. He was clearly offside by a couple yards, but it is up to the AR to call, so why not? He did score on a tremendous boot and run from the FC goalie, and even ran into the post tracking a free kick.

FC 2, Crossfire 1. Into the upper 90.
WT so far 0-1-1 in Dallas, one match left to play. Won't advance. Hit the fish in the barrel.

What I saw was 6 (offensive players) constantly out of position as a group making it far easier for FC to defend. The "fast" forward who was playing striker was constantly crowding back towards the ball whether it was in an edge or in the middle unlike Rf who stayed high and kept pressure on by stretching the field and constantly working. Your edges did not stay high and wide and ball watched and made late runs instead of attacking and giving options for you midfielders to play and your midfield did not connect passes but is that because they played poorly or they had no space and no outlets to pass to because the other offensive players were out of position. Xfire has talent at every level but they do not seem to be playing together like they were at the start of the year. Not sure if it's coaching, egos or both, but they seem out of sorts and got saved repeatedly by the only unit that seemed to know and do their jobs for the most part- the d. Sounds like mom or dad (whoever posted this) needs to stop blaming others and have a conversation with their little snowflake. And maybe this is exactly why xfire always seems to implode in the spring...
