I cannot believe that you think it was good soccer. I agree, your boys have some good moves for MMA, but give me a break, this is 12 year old soccer!

FYI-a lot of kids quit all sorts of sports as they get older. Some change sports, some get burnt out, some can't carry both school and sports, some get into personal trouble, some have family issues, some aren't burnt out but want to try other things, and some parents don't want to invest this much time (and sometimes money)-especially if they have other kids.
No matter what, all kids are fine, but not all continue on in this sport, for a multitude of reasons.

Suffering grades has been a problem of many TA players for years. A lot of top players drop out of the Academy in high school in order to keep up academically. That’s no secret.
The number one reason kids quit a sport is because it stops being fun. Four nights a week in a high pressure environment with a negative coach when your only twelve might not be fun for some. The second top reason kids quit sports is too much time on the bench. It’s not fun to always be the kid who only gets thirteen minutes at the end of the game. TA has a high turnover for this reason. A lot of players realize after a few months that their only value to the patch is to be a training cone at practices for the starters. TA needs to rethink the overall developmental training model for these younger players. Tossing a boy in for five minutes at the end of a match after he spent his whole day getting there is insulting and a blow to his self esteem. That doesn’t build a player up and it certainly isn’t developing the player.

As someone noted earlier, I misread the schedule--there are local DA games this weekend.
DA:
* CFC 2, FC 2. Both teams are harder to predict, having rosters that change quite a bit (due to players playing for the 04 team). Both teams have good results last weekend (CFC in a loss).
Crossfire 6, Eastside 1. Last time it was 10-0, since than Eastside has improved.
* WashT 5, BSC 2. Washington Timbers continue their undefeated streak.
OYSA:
ADF 7, Red2 0. Assuming that whatever happened last weekend to ADF was a fluke.
ETFC 3, RVT 2. Last time it was a 0-0 tie; but both teams are too offensively talented for that to happen twice.
4H 4 HSC 2. More technical 4H team outplays the bigger and stronger Hillsboro team.
Cuervos 7, Copa 0. Don't worry, Copa--you finally get games against Navy and Red2 in November.
ADF 3, ETFC 2. See above.
Bend 2, RVT 1. Rogue Valley has a nasty weekend coming up
FCSC 5, Navy 2. FC teams hate playing on grass, and the nastiest, slowest swamp in youth soccer this side of Poowerlines is Felidia Park.

This week:
1) WashT (6-0-1). Take care of a stubborn Capitol team. This weekend: DA Showcase in California.
2) FC (5-2-0). Beat Crossfire and take over the #2 spot. Also in California.
3) Crossfire(4-2-1). Lose a heartbreaker in Hillsboro. Also in California.
4) Westside(3-3-1). Tie BSC, a regression in their first rematch of the season. NOT going to California this weekend.
5) CFC(3-3-0). Losing by a goal in the Couv is nothing to be ashamed of. California.
6) BSC (2-4-1). Hold Westside to a draw. Going to California.
7) Eastside (0-6-0). Idle, also going to California.
Nothing happened to change the poll order. And it's THIS weekend that everyone but Westside heads down to California for the DA showcase.
1) WashT (7-0-1). Clobbers BSC.
2) FC (6-2-0). Holds off CFC.
3) Crossfire (5-2-1). Clobbers Eastside.
4) Westside (3-3-1). Idle.
5) CFC(3-4-0). Lost a close one to FC.
6) BSC (2-5-1): Got waxed by Washington.
7) Eastside (0-7-0). Likewise by Crossfire.

1) Bend (7-1-2). Beat ADF to reclaim the top spot. Will forgive them for tie against HSC. Host RVT.
2) Crows (5-1-2). Travel down to Medford and knock of Rogue Valley. This weekend visit Copa.
3) ADF (4-2-1). One disappointing loss to Bend, and a W T F loss to FC. Heading down to Eugene this weekend.
4) ETFC (5-1-1). Sink the Navy. Have a pair of tough tests this weekend, hosting ADF and Rogue Valley.
5) RVT (5-2-1). Lose to the Crows. Hitting the road for some Timbers on Timbers action, visiting Eugene and Bend.
6) IFC (4-3-1). Beat 4H in Salem, thus climb past them in the poll. Have this weekend off.
7) 4H (4-3-0). Loose to IFC. Visit Hillsboro.
8) Hillsboro (3-4-1). Impressive tie against Bend. Still a big gap between them and the teams above and below. Host 4H.
9) FC (2-6-0). Beating ADF is good for moving up a couple spots in the poll, despite loss to Eugene. Visit Salmon Creek.
10) Salmon Creek(1-5-1). Do not have result yet from Salmon Creek/WashT game. Host FC.
12T) WashT (0-7-0). See above. Don't have score from game, treating it as unplayed. Might revise this poll were WashT to have won. Visit ADF.
12T) Copa (0-7-0). Didn't lose this past weekend! (Didn't play). Host Cuervos, who already has beaten them twice in summer play.
1) Bend (7-1-3). Tie RVT, nothing to be ashamed of. Big matchup this weekend as Eugene visits Central Oregon.
2) ETFC (7-1-1). Impressive results against RVT and ADF move them into second place.
3) Cuervos (6-1-2). Pound on Copa, but drop a spot due to ETFC's impressive showing. Visit IFC this weekend.
4) RVT (5-3-2). Heartbreaker against Eugene, impressive draw in Bend. Have next weekend off. Timbers haters will be upset that the three non-DA alliance clubs now occupy 3 of the top four spots.
5) ADF (5-3-1). Have been struggling of late--pound Red2, but lose in Eugene. Host the Farmers this weekend.
6) IFC (4-3-1). No game this weekend, host the Crows next weekend.
7) Hillsboro (4-4-1). Knock off the Farmers to drop them to #1. Visit Copa.
8) 4H (4-4-0). Stumble against Hillsboro. Gets tougher this weekend with a visit to ADF.
9) Salmon Creek (2-5-1). Sink the Navy, and move back up to the #9 spot. This weekend it's the Battle of Vancouver, part 2.
10) FC (2-7-0). After upset win against ADF last weekend, get brought back down to earth against Salmon Creek, restoring the fact that the three B teams are at the bottom of the poll. Visit Copa--remember when Copa vs Navy was a marquee matchup? Seems so long ago...
12T) Copa (0-8-0). Clobbered, again, by the Crows. Get two shots at a result this weekend, as they host Hillsboro and Navy.
12T) WashT (0-8-0). Clobbered by ADF. Head west to face Salmon Creek this weekend.
