The pyramid is getting old, they have proven time and time again they are only worried about the bottom line not giving the best kids development opportunities- results show this - for those of you who wonder why that would be is because they know the odds. They know that any time that they can get a crazy dad that will pay for an entire year of cost they save money and don't have to pay for the charade on their own. The one and only homegrown who is now playing for the Timbers might be the only one for the next 20 years odds say. If every parent and coach is being honest there is not a single 05 in this entire market, including my son, who jumps off the page and glares professional. In the next couple years that may turn out to be the case, but those of you professing to know the future are fools...

Money makes things happen sometimes and it's the way of the world. You aren't going to change it by getting on some anonymous forum to complain. Spend your time making money and not here. Maybe then you won't complain so much about someone you know nothing about. It makes you look jealous and tactless. It's shameful to see adults shredding a 12 year old, without having a clue as to what's really going on. Worry about your own child and you let him worry about his. The universe will sort it out in the long run.

Would love to hear the excuse from a Timbers employee why they would allow their integrity and brand to be compromised for around 75k - nothing more nothing less.

It's nothing more than the players that the son wants (via daddy and personally paid coach) and some talented players that seem to have this uncontrollable image desire to say they play on this team and whose parents fell for the billups circus because they will go to Stanford of cal or be pro if they play for this carnival team

When a monopoly exists and the lemmings will stab each other in the back purely to say they are a part of something it creates what we now have. When you add the fact that the selection process is corrupt and bought, it creates an underachieving joke of an academy...the longer this continues in its present form the worse it will get for all. Would like to know how all the players feel about billups kid (come October) taking their playing time and or time that one of their old teammates deserved. Those bus rides may get tense and splinter the group

What has is a loss for youth soccer in PDX. The lesson that is being taught to all of these young men is that rules only apply to certain people, some of the time. That is not what I, as a parent want for my Son, or for anybody else's for that matter.

Timbers DA
It would be nice to see some of the better 05 DA teams play against the 05 Timbers DA!
I think that would be proof as to whether or not the most talented boys were selected.
