Top division is basically the germans, every Timbers team in the state, and ECNL reserve teams. Not sure a Timbers' club is going to be able to steal a point from Bayern this fall.

I don't know - they have 2002 team in there but no 2003; Gotsoccer is kind of jacked.

Never, ever, rely on Gotsoccer for rankings. All it is a ranking of who has scored the most Gotsoccer points, not who are the better teams.

GotSoccer will begin to fade. The days of playing 60+ games a year to move up the ladder are gone. The soccer landscape is changing and even a few of the crazy 7-10 tourneys per year parents are starting to come around.

You can throw the GotSoccer stats away. True question is....

Who has the best style of play?

Capital doesn't have an 02 team anymore. Got soccer is not anywhere close to accurate rankings

Who cares? Solo didn't like Sweden's "style of play" but it worked very well. If the Olympics proved anything, it's that the US is falling way behind in women's soccer.

It is not (and frankly never has been) crazy parents pushing the 7-10 tournaments per year. They might care more about winning than their coach is willing to admit and some will push for their kids to get pushed (and sometimes that means doing so out of state) but any parents I know see the diminishing return of too many tourneys.

                    "Some will push their kids"

                    Lol.
These parents are failing. Understand that your child has to want to do it for you to live through their lives.

Yes of course it has to be child directed and yes parent's can screw up the sport for kids.

However, sometimes a team needs to be pushed and outside competition is one of the ways to push them (playing against teams that play at a different pace/level). Further travel experiences have their own benefit beyond the game itself. That comes from coaches as much as it comes from parents.

The only parents who are failing their kids are the ones spending all day telling other parents that they are are failing their kids.

Focus on your own kids - in 30 yrs or so you can compare notes with the parents' who you think are failing theirs.

The competition at 12 years old is NOT that important. Hopefully your coach is stretching the kids in training each week with older teams and mixing genders. If your DD is not training three days a week within that type of structure than you are failing your child. If your DD is only raining with their team because they are the top team in the club then you are failing your child. It's ok though, you can focus on your DD's two games every weekend and out of town trips. Your DD is falling behind.

Are you selling a book or a club? Either way you sound like a used car's salesman.

If you are a parent, I think you should spend more time on your own child's development.

Are the 8th graders on these teams playing the fall? Kind of curious what the clubs plan is for them - do they just train until HS is over or are scrimmages set-up for them?

That's what they did last year. NWCL and lots of training. League starts in January. Missing out on OYSA fall league actually helps their development.
