Most DOC'S coach the clubs best teams. Not unusual, just once I would like to see a DOC take an under performing team and try and make it better while letting the great team in their club be coached by another.

yes they do have a girls side. 35 teams as a matter of fact. They have teams at all levels of play. The club actually cares about their players by creating an environment for all skill levels. They constantly tell us that the goal is to prepare the girls for the Thorns and ECNL. They are not in this for themselves unlike your selfish club. Add to that three National Championships in the past 10 years. More than your club has at any level of play. Multiple state championships. More recently - '05's just won Crossfire Challenge. I looked at their website a week ago - I saw like two "A" licensed coaches, four "B" licensed coaches, two of which played professionally, and one has won two Womens European Championships (I didn't know that they even had something like that for women). Three "C" licensed coaches and gobs of overqualified assistant coaches all following a DOC that has ran youth academies in Europe, has been a DOC for the state of Michigan, is top five US Soccer coaching instructors, has his UEFA "A", USSF "A", started the DA Academy at Colorado Rapids and won an MLS Championship. Their leadership and staff looks pretty solid.

I think W-T-F-C have been doing fine and the future looks even brighter as they have a very qualified staff now. Moving forward they are looking good. It's very early in the game. W-T-F-C has had no more problems than any other club in the PDX Metro Area.

I'm on my third kid in this club. Brought my second and third kid back from Pacific FC this year. We left because of the problems. It is way different now. Looking at this site I can tell you that there are quite a few clubs that should grab a hold of their club and make some big changes. Bring in some new leadership. These guys in the PDX area that have been around running these clubs for 15-20 years have done a great job but it's time for a change. Tons of outdated coaching styles from low level premier to ECNL. Yes, ECNL coaches are terrible in this area![/QUOTE]

One day you'll wake up to discover that Kool-Aid is actually p1ss.

If by "qualified" you mean they're able to teach the girls to kick even farther now then, yes, you are correct. Saw some WashT "A" teams play this summer. Long ball all day long. Sad really.

And WashT has a boatload of problems. Almost bankrupt. Can't pay their coaches even close to the market rate - so they get bottom of the barrel talent. Can't get their teams into regional-level competitions anymore - see lack of WashT teams in NWCL for one example. Have to bring in guest players just to lose in the bottom brackets of out-of-state tourneys. It goes on and on. Time for a real change of leadership at WashT. Again. Too bad nothing really changes over there in East Vantucky.

              Lol.
Your post shows what little you know.
NWCL is a third tier event that is very unorganized. W-T-F-C chose not to play in NWCL but granted one team to play in it.

They were never even close to bankrupt. They purchased their turf with $390k of cash. They own their own turf unlike anyone else around.

You did not see a Reds level team booting the ball long. Nice try.

You can't take them seriously. There are so many false statement in their post. There is not one true statement in the post

Biggest lie was that ***c prepares kids for ecnl.

Ecnl is a scam and ***c will lose 1-2 bad apple families to them but you dont need fo develop for ecnl.

Currently they are taking anyone who can pay. Judging by the non stop snake oil recruiting they need good players.

So, as WashT "A" teams consistently finished near the bottom of the "third-tier" NWCL, does that make WashT a "4th-tier" or lower club? Must be per your impeccable logic.

And they are on the verge of bankruptcy. Have to significantly underpay their coaches to keep the payments on the almost $2M in debt they have. Not good.

coaches are paid $8k-$12k per team. That seems like enough.

NWCL had most teams finish middle to upper last year. Look at the list this year. The top clubs have dropped out. It has become a 2nd tier tournament. Looking at the results from last year W-T-F-C actually had a team win NWCL.

I wonder how they are doing it? Looks like they are making the payments just fine.
Construction will begin on the 3rd field March of 2017

Keep dreaming. I know a few of the coaches and they are getting around $2K per team. And these are some of the better coaches too. And that 3rd field will never happen. WashT can't get any interest from anybody with money to pay for it.

As for NWCL, I suppose you're right as there's no way Crossfire and Washington Premier should be considered "top clubs". Pretty smart, aren't you. The only clubs that have dropped out are the Timbers clubs as they got tired of losing almost every game, every year.

wait until you see the schedules when they come out. Top clubs are dropping this event. It is extremely unorganized.

There are no Reds level coaches making $2k. Good effort though. Most make around $7k.
but the eight "A" licensed coaches make more than your "C" licensed coaches.

No wonder WashT is awash in red ink. Paying $7-12K for dad rec coaches is ridiculous.

And I've seen the NWCL schedule. Top 2 WA clubs are there as well as the top 2 OR clubs. Again, sorry your 4th tier teams got beat so badly the last few years that you've opted for competitions like Beaverton Cup instead. Pretty sad when a self-proclaimed "big club" that's "going places" pulls all their teams out of the tougher competitions. At least they must realize the quality of the players they have.
