This ECNL thing is a waste. You all hide and watch when full clubs move to the DA.
So. Cal and Texas are making the move
There is only one level in ECNL and you, even though your are a TA lemming clown, know it. No top clubs are moving to the DA as they all know that the rules for the DA will mean they will only get "C" team rec level players who can't even make their HS JV2 team.

Well when you're done with the name calling and assumptions, can you please cite facts to back up your points?

This is a program not even implemented yet.
And likely won't ever be implemented except maybe in SoCal, Texas, Chicago, and New York. Costs will be too high and the number of girls willing to forego all outside sports (not just HS soccer) will be so low that outliers like Oregon will never see the DA. Which is just as well as it will be a lower level of competition than ECNL.
It's not 3 levels. There is the Champions League, North American Cup, and the Showcase Cup at the playoffs. There is merit to the Champions League and any team that advances in the Champions League and makes a decent showing is deserving of it. The other 2 tiers, though, seem like a "money grab" to me. A lot of families, quite honestly, dread the extension of the season and the big expenses that come from airfares, hotels, rental cars, food, etc. It's a lot of extra money being spent to play for what is essentially a consolation prize or "losers bracket." It's almost seems like juice pouches, snacks, and puppy dogs for everybody.

Oregon girls will sign up in droves for a girls DA. Parents will believe that their player is super elite and going straight on thru to the USWNT. Oregon will go from zero players on National team rosters to 40, just you wait and see.

actually the OP brings up a great question. There looks to be three levels of play. You have a top level that is competing (Champions League) and a second and third tier. I thought they were all Elite.

They have one level of league play, and then 3 levels of playoffs - just like most tournaments you go to. Except in this case you have to earn your way into the higher levels. Not like Thorns Academy just automatically being put in Premier and FWRL "just 'cause".

so what you're saying is that there are only so many "Elite" teams?
What a waste of money if you're team is not playing at that level.
I looked at the schedule. Every "lower" showcase team has a conflict with the "Champions" level teams. I wonder which game the college coaches will go watch.
you guys are really stupid to waste your money on this type of stuff.

There are only so many "top" teams each year. Could be different teams next year. You can't have every team be the "top" team now can you. And even the teams in the 3rd division playoff would still easily win Oregon state cup without even trying.
Only stupid people around here are the one's that think the Timbers are developing their girls into decent soccer players.
They are creating the three tiers at the request of the elite clubs that aren't willing to travel to play mediocre teams. They don't want to play the Oregon teams because they aren't very competitive.
Oregon will be in the ECNL Bronze division (the equivalent of silver division at Bend Cup).

ECNL Bronze division would still be 3 tiers above OYSA Premier. Sorry your DD isn't even playing at that high of a level...
