Been going to this for 11 years. This year was the most organized. Best casual atmosphere where results don't matter and where the "playground" mentality was free flowing and fun

for anyone ever looking for a score go here:
        http://lmgtfy.com/?q=https%3A%2F%2Fw...CORE%2Fgame%2F

those are the scores as reported by the referees. in this case scroll down click the checkmark box next to Timbers Friendship Cup. (idk how many games were involved in this tourney but it seems like a lot, so idk what was labelled as an actual friendship cup match.)

you specifically need to click that link since you don't know how the internet works. you probably think is is a BLOG too; this is a mesage board just like back in the day when they still had dial-up.

here's a fun article from lifehacker about lmgtfy, but you're probably afraid since it says HACKER in the name. so keep asking stupid questions on this BLOG and cry when no one answers you and your kids still hate you. http://lifehacker.com/5093525/let-me...s-your-friends

you'll notice the date on that article is 2008, so you're only 8 years behind the times. (and i suppose that means me too, since i thought your slowass might appreciate it.)

I highly recommend against clicking on any links on this chat room. You never know what you might get. I use a sterile old Compaq computer that I don't care if it gets infected so click on links instead of my 2008 Vista computer that has all my sensitive information on it. It is very slow but hey I don't care if I get the Zika on it so laugh is on you.

You would think they would make them more prevalent.

Trust me. The LAST thing Oregon ODP wants is those results posted.

Only your typical baseball/American football parent would make this type of comment. You are the type of parent that ruins sports.

Do you really think that the REGION IV staff wants to watch players in an environment where results matter?
Heck no! But you wouldn't understand that

This post was so utterly stupid I honestly can't believe it. Evaluating an athlete in a stressful competitive environment? Who would dare? Maybe you don't realize this because your kid has never made it but the majority or REGION IV staff will be evaluating players in an environment where results matter at regional camp. Smh

Then wouldn't the Region 4 staff not have a tournament and just have a big camp and put girls through drills and scrimmages to truly evaluate them? The Friendship Cup is a very poor way to evaluate all the players so I doubt that is why they do it. More like money maker and a reward for the players. Kids enjoy playing games more than anything else. If there were no games, even fewer players would do ODP.

My daughter used to do ODP. A couple years ago at the Freindship Cup the Region IV evaluator was there. He used to coach at U of Idaho. I noticed him talking to my daughter after one of the games. I spoke to him later and we discussed what he told her along with her potential for college and how he saw her capabilities. At the end he gave me his card and told me to tell her to use him as a reference for colleges. He saw her play maybe three times that weekend and didn't know me from Adam before that. But he told me she shouldn't settle for lower D1. I know I'm an outlier but there are positives to ODP and the Friendship Cup. Yes ECNL has mad it much much less relevant, but I do think there are positives to be had.
