I'm pretty pumped that the parking lot and third field will be getting done this coming spring. It is much needed.

The OP is correct. The parking lot and third field are both starting in mid April. The club has worked hard to pick up recurring donors. I heard that they received two $350k donations that will recur each year and go towards 3rd field.

The big news is that they will be building a structure like Starfire that will have 5 futsal fields , workout facility for parents/kids, coach/player education center and a cafe/pub. A local well known PT Clinic and Local developer are fronting all of the $4.5 million bill.

Something's never change like spending serious money to put in new fields only to have them ruined by people tracking mud on to the pitch. This clubs overhead must be outrageous with all the claims they get in from people's repair bills on their vehicles. Some day maybe the club will figure it out everything in life needs a break or attention , if not it will cost twice as much to fix or repair but something's never change

And its better to use your local school fields so all the tax payers can pay for the field maintenance and parking lot maintenance.

Will you all knock it off about the parking lot. If you r club had two and now three new turf fields everyone would sign up for that parking lot. If this is all you have to knock the club then they must be doing a great job. I am not from the Washington Timbers but from where I sit it looks like they have made great strides. What other club has their own facility with 2 and maybe a third new turf field. Good Job Washington Timbers I hope other local clubs follow your lead

WashT today is no different than WashT 10 years ago. Some different faces, but mostly the same rec-level coaching, poor quality fields, and bootball thugball mentality.

You clearly haven't paid much attention to them. There have been huge changes, especially with the coaching staff. half the coaches before their new DOC are now gone and replaced. For the Reds teams (A and B teams) by tryouts almost all of them will have their C license or higher.

Good news is Harmony will not be called Harmony no nor.

A hotel chain has contracted $450,000/Year for next four years to help finish the third field and build lockers.

The club is in talks with 24hr fitness and a local PT clinic in building a 72,000 sq ft facility with 5 futsal courts, workout facility, cafe/pub and Physical Therapy Clinic. That deal will be inked before the end of 2017
