Same with our team and club in general. Players switching teams goes both ways though. Our club coaches, while not parents, have favorites too and are also guilty of biased playing time & other benefits which have nothing to do with pure soccer merit. This is life. Players, top, bubble and bottom, will all leave to find a better situation if they or their parents feel they are getting the short end of the stick. Typically, it's the better players that can find a better situation elsewhere though. A true bottom level player that is just whining & blaming the current coach will likely have the same problem on a new team. Good players have many more options and, thus, don't usually stick around if they are unhappy.

Yep. The nice thing about club though is if you do get a coach who plays favorites in most cases they are gone in a few years. And the favoritism generally hurts the favored kid more than the rest of the team, because the non favored kids learn to fight for every minute of playing time, while the favorites get everything handed to them. This is why you see teams sometimes blow up when a new coach comes in. Like CFC's 01 girls for example.
