This won't happen in Oregon. But it helps us as we are looking at changing clubs.
I agree it won't happen. But it is useful information for parents to think about as they evaluate clubs. Many parents never played soccer and newcomers are unfamiliar with the many pitfalls of poorly run organizations. Asking good questions up front can save yourself a lot of headaches and cash
I joined a club last year and they do have a plan. After reading a post on here that stated clubs do not have a plan I asked our DOC could I see it and he showed me. All the coaches have the plan and they meet on a monthly basis to talk development. I was very impressed by the plan and the DOC's attention to detail. If coaching staff do not follow the plan, he gets rid of them. I know, because our coach was terrible and he axed him. I just want my son to play for a club that believes they can improve him. We did not get that at our last club. I am not naming the club I am at because of the bashers on here.
