It's going to be a painfully long year if we send the same teams we did this year to FWRL next year.

You're stuck in the past. Stay there. You can complain all you want about the various paths but reality is in the numbers. 90% of ECNL players play in college and the majority of upcoming USWNT play or played in the ECNL. It's not the ECNL developing that's it's the players ECNL attracts. Cold hard numbers and make you whine because you can't disputed them. Squirm away. Complain about coaching, development, Oregon sucks, it rains too much, you're a pervert, or any of the other desperate excuses you can dream up as to why you don't think OTHER people should let their children compete in the ECNL.
IF you actually had a child who grew up playing you would know it's the kids pushing themselves and wanting to play at the highest level they can. Parents push too but ultimately it's the kid who makes the difference. IF you actually had a child who actually competed you'd know this. I doubt it. You're clearly too misguided to know the difference and you say as much in your rants.
The reason these other leagues exist is because people grew tired of the same old sh!t from USYS. People took into their own hands and created better options.
You're a hypocrite. You support a DA program that has watered down ODP for boys and don't support a similar model for girls. We can't even take you seriously!
Go Thorns Academy!!
Your still a sheep, lead by the all mighty. They lead you away from the norm (OYSA/USYSA) into their fairy tale land (OPL), told you it would be better. Then when the masses finally figured it out and argued they were wrong, half of the leaders jumped ship and headed back to firm ground. In despair, they created a "new and improved" version and sold that to you at an inflated price. (Thorns Academy/ECNL)...kinda like the tail waging the dog.
Now that time has lapsed, we all see, its the same coaches, doing the same thing, for the same clubs, with a new patch on your players sleeve and paid logo on their chest.
When is the "greatness" supposed to start ?
When are all these Oregon players going to make it to national camp ?
When are we going to see you daughters name on a World Cup roster ?
They're all playing on the best (consolidated) team, playing in the best league. When is the cream going to rise to the top from all the experts leading the way and you parents paying for it ?
Dont you want some successful results from the money you spend ? Im sure your employer thinks that way or if you own your own like me, I want results from my investment (and meaningful memories dont cut it....I can get those in my own backyard with my kids swimming in the pool).
Set the money aside for a moment, assume it's all FREE, travel, training, kits, etc. The time you (you and your child) spend in your attempt for greatness should be fruitful. If it is not, then you should look towards where it can be and make that your quest. For success is what will build the foundation for your child's future. if not, your child will soon stray away from competition for fear of failure and disappointment. Nothing wrong with hard work, as long as the successful results are achievable and rewarding.

Greatness starts the moment you put on that uniform with the ECNL patch and when mom and dad post proudly about the event to the family on Facebook.

The problem with ignorant fools like you is that you think the process isn't worth it if you aren't going to be the best in the world. Quit now. Why try. Just go home and play your TA rec soccer. You don't understand competition and what drives people because you're a quitter. You're average and you know it.
You want to put down the hard work kids put in to their sports because they aren't going to be the best in the world. This goes for any sport (they all travel now). What you're missing is that these kids are working to be the best THEY can be. For many that means reaching for higher levels of competition. Average people like you want everyone to be satisfied with average. You're average MoreBull and that's why you're incapable of understanding what drives real competitiors for more. It's not the parents. It's kids who are better than average people like you.
So ask yourself why you spend so much time talking down kids who push for more than average. Why does it bother you MoreBull? Why is wrong with you?

It's been fun trolling the ECNL folks today. Probably need to move over somewhere else and troll some other saps.
