Always entertained by the guy who overinflates travel cost. Our cost was less than $500

TA guy if you think you are getting the DA then you too can spend the money you are spouting

So? The Timbers teams drive across town to play FC or THUSC and get destroyed. Maybe that's why the Timbers clubs don't have any HS aged girls teams anymore.

Wow, a thousand dollars each to go 0-18-2. They take 18 players. So 18x10x1,000=$180,000 for that record. Ouch.

If Eastside took their teams they'd be able to all pile into the General Lee and save a little cash. When you only have 1/2 of a HS girls team it's not very expensive.

I could assemble a rec team, with only 6 players, place blindfolds on each player, and still match 0-20.

2nd tier to what? Certainly not GDA.

Mind blowing how much money is spent.

Truth. They could have stayed home, finished up playing in OYSA and finish middle of the pack, but can look forward to pad their win/loss by going to Vegas to play in the Silver division

How with the addition of the Seattle Reign Academy ECNL teams effect travel and cost? As there are now 5 teams in the area.

Likely less travel cost in the future. Unless you're driving the General Lee on four flat tires it doesn't cost much to go to Seattle.

It's dead. It was never alive here in Portland. It's just diluted the division with two more mediocre clubs and forced Washington clubs to face two more crappy teams each year.

Diluted is what is left in OYSA. Taking the best 40 girls out of OYSA at each age group caused a serious decline in the quality of soccer being played.

This makes no sense. If you take the best 40 girls out, what's left is not diluted. Instead you have similar players playing against each other. The problem is too many clubs in OR. Fewer teams=stronger teams.

OYSA is diluted all right. A bunch of average players on every team. All the talent left.
