What's going on with NWCL?

So there will be a few decent ecnl teams in each bracket...and then garbage teams. Much like player 18-25 on an ECNL roster, the garbage teams keep it affordable for the few good teams. It's sort of like a charitable donation except you can't write it off on your taxes.

Too bad that your DD's team isn't even at the level of "garbage". Maybe you'll do OK in div 2 White this fall. Maybe.

Exactly, I laugh every time I read that post about reserves . My dd played NWCL for 4 years and WPFC and Crossfire always played their starters in NWCL.

WPFC and Crossfire have always played their starters in NWCL. They only enter their B team, but they are their starters.

Wow, I thought these were all going to be crappy teams?? My daughter's team is playing U-14 and will get crushed by the ecnl teams in that bracket. Yikes.

Why would they sign up for NWCL in the first place? Eugene's u14 team is actually a top team and isn't even doing NWCL after never making it to semis. Remember, ALL games are hotel travel games for Eugene teams also. The parents aren't happy.

That's just a rationalization so that the 6-0 beat downs felt better. NWCL games are where they can get the reserves some time. Not worth it for the starters. The rest of the Seattle teams aren't that good, just like the Oregon teams. Total waste.

Funny. GU14. Top 2 teams in WA are WPFC and Crossfire Premier. Both are playing in NWCL and not FWRL. Try again, Skippy!

Am I missing something, I don't see Wpfc's u14 Ecnl team listed, so really only top team is xfire premier, no Pac nw Maroon, no Sea u, no Eastside fc. Looks a bit watered down from the past yrs. And will be interesting to see who the discovery player plays for. Looks like a good chance for an Oregon team to advance.
