If you don't like it, don't play in it. Eugene & Thusc will make enough from their own teams to fundraise nicely for their clubs. Eugene should actually bring in a ton of teams so they'll do extra fine.

Hey dude, teams from their own club don't pay for their own club's tournament. So your statement "will make enough from their own teams" doesn't make sense.

It's not fundraising if it comes from within the club. That's just "hidden costs"

Our home tourney has been added/included in our yearly fees. The club collects the money and uses that money just like it uses the money from our annual fundraising auction (also mostly club members). They basically already collected all of our teams' entrance fees already so they club will be fine even if not many more teams show up. Just our own teams means a lot of scholarship money.

Why would my dd's team want to go down to play in Eugene? They already have to down there to play GP, RVT and Eugene in fall play.

Losing to them in league is bad enough. Why pay to do it?

Schedules are posted. Quite weak this year but it's a rec fundraiser for scholarships and a nice easy way to ease new teams into the tourney season. Not even Bend or local rec teams playing this year?

All the teams one step above THUSC cup.

People in Eugene know the answer. Same with their 3v3.

Guess others are tired of Eugene, just like they are of THUSC - letting them do their own fundraising jamboree with their own teams and a few poor suckers who didn't know better.

Some truth to this, but the Eugene tourney is still better... And they don't have the luxury of the portland population nearby.

Hard to imagine "Eugene" and "better" in the same sentence. You ever been there?

Speak for yourself. I love Eugene. I love the energy. I love the Ducks. I love the river. I love the mountains. I love the coast. I love shopping there. Yes, I have been there.
