A thread dedicated for TA coaches to vent about their best players leaving their mediocre club teams for ECNL. Some even leaving for Thorns Academy, only to turn around and play their old team in OYSA league play and kick the crap out of them.

"yeah, they play tougher competition, but look, they win fewer matches, we win more matches, therefore we are better."

"We won OYSA / OPL last season. Between that and playing H.S. in Mullino the scouts will find you!

"You have to buy a new kit for your daughter"

"Don't forget that it will cost even more if you bring your pets to all those away matches."

"I don't have a have daughter remotely good enough for either program, but I'm an anonymous expert on Talking / Soccer. In fact I don't even have a daughter."

Must suck to lose a player or two only to get pounded by them during the fall.

That's why FCPDX is grabbing "B" team players and pacific FC players at older age groups. These guys are amateurs .

FCP is a recruiting machine. They will take anyone willing to pay. They just add them to their pools and tell them they'll play at UoP someday.

Other than Showcases (and the rare time that some good clubs come here to play, there aren't any college coaches)

It does cost more for me because I have to pay to travel if I want to watch my daughter

I did have to buy a new kit

I do have a daughter good enough to play and in fact, was recruited by teams in both clubs

And Gresham has some of the best H.S. teams around.

I assume you like talking smack when clearly uninformed. The matches were played at Tigard high and there were refs. Oh and you spelled attendance incorrectly. Not easy to do, since TS has a spell checker built-in. Sorry to interrupt you, now please continue with how you know what's happening in the world of ECNL or girls soccer in general.

People always ragging on Eastside. Even so, they have an excellent record of players that began their youth competitive soccer at EST and didn't move until high school going on to play collegiate soccer. Why do people care where other people's kids play soccer?
