ECNL can be a good fit for some children but I would look at it differently than one responder. If your child is going to have a hard time being selected for an ECNL team in a few years then why are you going to waste your money on that now? Good players will be chosen at a later date no matter what.

Timbers Alliance is not a club. While some people may say that clubs that all form the TA do not develop girls I disagree. At younger ages many of these clubs developed exceptional players that went on to play at a high level. So, rather than looking at the record for the club I would look at geography and costs. If they are closer to your house at the younger ages then that is a good thing.

Depending on the age of your child you should be more concerned with access and if your child will be happy there. Do they have friends playing at a club? Carpooling is nice. Good luck and don't get sucked in to the thought that there is only one way to a higher level or that a higher level is even necessary!!

At the younger girls ages, Timbers teams are stronger now. Big shift taking place.

Have you looked at their results? Plus the huge migration over to FC. Portland can only support one ECNL club anyway.
