    OYSA State Cup Boys

How is it going? Good games or blowouts? Which clubs are doing well? Is the reffing solid?

Just curious how your experience is going. I have enjoyed it although we did have 2 games where 1 AR didn't show. Competition has been good, sideline behavior has been satisfactory, reffing was pretty good. Top clubs, not sure. In our age it looks like Eastside is the favorite (BU12) with all shutout wins. But still definitely up for grabs. I love watching soccer in 70 degree weather. :)

This is a female parent only sight. How dare you post a thread on boys. Please go away and let us knuckleheads fight all day long about the same ***** over and over and over.

Looks like the OPL (FC and Crossfire) teams are doing very well. Amazing given that "all of the talent is in OYSA" as we've been told over and over again on this site.

Really, I'm not quite sure where you are looking…The OPL teams I have seen have been OK, but certainly nothing to crow about.

Those would be OYSA teams now. Further proving the point that there is no talent on the boys side of OPL. Soon the OPL will be changing its name to the TOL, i.e. the Tom/Thusc only league.

Are they even having a Boys tournament with OPL, 42 teams registered with 8 age brackets. The fascinating one will be U18 with two teams registered…

OPL should just be honest and become a female-only soccer league.

Top boys teams are still eastside, Westside, wa timbers... A couple fc Pdx teams sprinkled in there. That's about it.

I will give FC a little credit, they've played 14 games for a 12-2-0 record and GD +34 (they must have 3-4 teams entered.

Crossfire however 9 games with a 5-4-0 record and GD +7. Hard to call that "doing very well".

How is this poster full of ****. OPL will claim that "everyone was playing at OPL" implying once a team plays their they become part of that league, yet you see this person as full of ****?

Before OPL existed there was only OYSA, so really any team is an OYSA team…Is it feeling ridiculous yet?

Bottom line if they are playing in OPL they are a team that plays in OPL. If they play in OYSA they are a team that plays in OYSA…It really isn't that hard.

Once the semifinals are set, we will get a clearer picture as to what clubs are representing well.

I should have said "non-Timbers" instead of OPL. Either way FCP boys are doing very well U14 thru U18

Agreed. But what do you get in the alliance anyway.

they are talking about 2 teams inside of eight age groups.

THAT IS TWO TEAMS OUT OF ABOUT 92 TEAMS! AYFKM?

                            OPL IS TERRIBLE!

Top boys teams are still Eastside, Westside, wa timbers, fc Pdx, and sometimes CFC. That is all. End of discussion.
