We will see. The academy is growing in age groups starting the coming season. Once they have a chance to play a few games vs thusc and FCP elite league teams it will be less talk and more facts.

The same folks who couldn't get accepted to ECNL until 6 years into the league formation. After Boise even. How much does US Club think of Oregon and THUSC? Less than they think of Boise, Birmingham, countless clubs in the midwest and New England, soccer hotbeds.

I have my basketball referee uni in the car on stand by and I stand ready to jump in at a moments notice. For flags, I have some UO car flags that will delight the Duck fans in the stands.

That's not very nice. I realize it can be a bit much, but still you can be nice about it.

You are showing your bias with the standardized $10k quote. Regardless, the poster has a point. "it will basically be the same thing every year. They will have a month to 'gel' and then it's off to FWRL to play bad. Take a tour in OYSA and then go to Vegas. It's a flawed model. In theory it sounds O.K. but every year it will be basically a new team. The adims at the bigger tourneys are not stupid. It will had for thorns acad. to get into any major tourneys with unproven histories."
You can save even more money by staying with your current OYSA H.S. team and probably play in better tourney's because they will have a record to draw from.

I see a lot of bickering but no response. Can someone explain to me why my dd's team should stay together and basically do the same thing. I see arguments on here that cream will rise to the top (i.e. college offer will come where she plays) and by staying with her team she will get to hang out with her friends that she has made over the last 3 yrs.

I see the Thorns Academy as flawed, more expensive and less successful then a good club team would be.
