it's going to be a painful 2015 for the WNT.

80% of their youngins are former ECNL players.

Trouble is....ECNL provides a competitive environment not a developmental environment.
You will all understand when the 2015 World Cup is over.

    WE ARE BEHIND!
WE NEED TO CHANGE HOW WE DO THINGS!

    WOMEN NEED A DEVELOPMENTAL ACADEMY!

We have it. It's called ECNL. Do a little research.

no...I think the poster was saying that we need a Developmental Academy. ECNL is not a Developmental Academy, it is purely a Competitive League where well off families travel to play in.

A developmental academy focuses on development not results

            Huh?

            It's in the mission statement...

About the Elite Clubs National League ("ECNL")

MISSION: The Elite Clubs National League, Inc. (“ECNL”) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit member-based organization founded in 2009 to enhance the DEVELOPMENTAL experience of the female youth soccer players in the United States through:

            Improving the competitive environment through creation of a true national competitive league with multiple flights;
•Improving the process for identifying elite female soccer players for the U.S. Soccer youth national teams through a systematic scouting and identification program based on national competitions; and
•Improving the daily training environment at top female youth soccer clubs through developing best practices and training and organizational guidelines for its member clubs.

So its just you on an anonymous board saying they don't develop players. Ok got it.

              This system is failing.

              USWNT is on the decline.
They need to catch up with the rest of the world.

We need a Developmental Academy where results don't matter at U14 and U15.

ECNL is about winning and winning only....you don't win and players go somewhere else.

Quite frankly I like the ECNL...it has consolidated all the whack job parents under one roof.

Winning isn't important until they hit 17-18 years old...until then we are wasting our time with results.

Kids aren't even mentally prepared to compete until then

Thought they looked pretty good today. But again first half they came out sluggish.

You could tell they were more fit than SUI in the second half.

                  Keep it rolling!
