Aren't WT_FC looking to make academy teams? I remember last year them saying the the Reds are tier two and they are also saying that in this years tryouts letter on their website.

Maybe that's what Brett is going to concentrate on once he digs himself out the the current mess left by others.

I also cant see how you can say he doesn't have much coaching experience? He has USSF A & UEFA B licences not sure about the US accreditation but the UEFA B is the real deal they don't come easy.

It will take time to really get to where they want to get to as a club. They expect a loss of players this year and then if they execute their plans it should rebound after that.

As far as their academy director, she is the assistant coach for Clark womens team, plays with the thorns, and is an overall great person. Being the director her real job is to develop a plan with the help of Brett and a curriculum that will help the kids at a young age and make sure its followed.

She will need to do more than help Brett. He really isn't interested in doing much. Agree she is a great person and hope that she is up to the task.

lol, funny stuff you make up as if you know. He is directly related to implementing the new curriculum, if the curriculum isn't implemented then he fails.

so trust me when I say, he is VERY interested in "doing much"

By "Academy", Brett is planning to change the structure from "teams" to "age groups", much like FCP. There will be one coach that is responsible for an entire age group. All players in an age group will practice together and players will be moved around to different teams on a regular basis as needed for their best development.

MORE losses is what you mean. WT_FC has lost almost 300 Premier players over the last 2 years. How many more can they afford to lose?

What curriculum is this? The one that the Timbers promised to deliver three years ago but never did? Or is it a real curriculum focused on actually developing good soccer players?

                          Why

Why do you think Brett doesn't want to do much? Have you spoken with him or had past experience of his work?

                            US Youth Soccer Cirriculum:

I would hope your club is following this:

                            http://www.usyouthsoccer.org/news/st...?story_id=6415

                            http://www.vysa.com/docs/coaches/US_...ment_Model.pdf

although not many clubs are following it.

In RCL you cant move players up and down between teams. You can bring up a guest player from your B team but an A team player cant play on the B team, its done to stop B teams being loaded with A team players something Xfire Seattle used to do with their B team in RCL.
