Ok sure, our dd was ODP Thorns last year and if they would have offered a U18 program we would have looked at it. Since they didn't our dd chose to stay with her club team and try and get the best competition the league has scheduled. Don't know where the U18's were going to play if ECNL wasn't here this season. I guess FC and CU could scrimmage every weekend in the winter and spring. What was the academy going to do for my dd?

I agree that Timbers are moving too slowly to come up with a girl's program. It does suck. We are also participating in ECNL (for lack of any decent alternatives) and I am disappointed with it as well. I know, there are too many people complaining about level of play but I don't understand the reasoning behind the 2 club model. it just watered down the talent pool. So, we are riding it out to college. I wish the Timbers would have tried to roll out an entire program rather than piece mealing it. It was sort of all or nothing.... but they didn't ask me,

I agree, my dd loved the ODP coaches and if they would have gotten it together and formed a team that would have been nice. But the clubs got in to the league and pretty much that was it, one of the first things the college coach asked was are you going to try out for one of those teams? Its all good and the game has made her an awesome kid.

If you say ECNL be warned I may vomit on you…OR ECNL is like a $400 pair of jeans. You feel special because of all the money you spent, but it is still just a pair of pants. Look at the USSDA Elite doesnt mean expensive. Only in the OR ECNL LOGIC Vortex do people define Elite by how much they spend.

You clearly are out of the loop. There hasn't been any of the Thorns players leave for ECNL. However, there are former ECNL players showing up at the Thorn's practices. But again, facts are something new to you.

Not from what I've seen. You might be surprised if you open your eyes. But I'm sure you attend every ECNL practice just to make sure none of your Thorns players are straying from the herd of lemmings that is the Timbers Alliance.

Actually, you told us quite a bit right there how you don't have a clue. Why are their former ECNL players practicing with the Thorns right now? Perhaps you should ask Kibbwe. And there are a handful of former U16 players practicing with TA teams, ask Tom. Clueless=you.

The Timbers Alliance has done NONE of the things you listed above. The Alliance is a miserable failure and has been from the start, but then what would you expect from the Timbers?

You hit the nail on the head. He posts constantly and thinks it really hits people. The reality is that he can't state any facts to back up how ECNL here is any good and that's it's done anything. Sadly he bought his daughters way onto an ECNL team and she rarely plays. But nothing is too shallow for TAs minions. He trains them.

Except that they took second place in the greed category as OPL won that category 5 years in a roll ending up banking $675k in the bank off of families like you
