There is so much truth to this. Lots of broken promises! And so many parents are evaluating the value. ECNL will be done here in two years tops.

Tom over promised. I won't ever forget his meeting to the parents to explain ECNL. Everyone left there thinking this would be so great. Now, months later, lots of broken promises. You play two games, then practice for a month. Then play two games, then practice for a month. And the games have been against terrible competition.

Says the person whose DD couldn't make THUSC's reserve team. You have no clue but you do seem to have a large axe to grind. Once you get it sharpened up, why not use it on yourself.

Please tell us who we have played that is any good? Please list any decent team in NWCL or in ECNL that has been top competition?

If you don't think much of the teams so far, why not come out this weekend to see the Colorado teams. Or aren't don't they meet your definition of "any good" either? Of course, any ECNL team could lay a beating on your DD's TA team playing 7v11 but let's not go there, shall we?

Great, you finally play someone good. So, play 5 crummy teams, then 2 good ones. So that's what the schedule is.

Crossfire Premier ECNL is not a top team??

OSSA and THUSC?......Did they even have good coaches to begin with?

They said ECNL in oregon would make top teams....NOt true. They are already losing to B and C teams from Washington even without doing their watered down league of Idaho and Utah broke teams.

They said you would get developed....Not true considering many don't even play, the team is bad so you spend much of your time chasing and sitting the bench.

THey said you would play good teams...Still true and the league looks like a joke.

They said you would get exposure...well i'd hope so considering you are paying your kids college tuition to get exposure yet those coaches aren't going to come and watch you, they are going to actually go an watch the GOOD teams with GOOD players.

They said you would get the best coaches.....thats a joke.

So how much more are you going to believe the ECNL say anything parents because they don't want to look anymore like idiots and gullable sheep than they are already.

                            BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH!!!

                            WE get it!!!

You don't like the ECNL. Take your kid and her ball and go play elsewhere. Plenty of options in this state for everybody.

I am not an ECNL supporter....in fact I think it is a complete waste of resources...I feel that if a player wants to play college somewhere that all they need to do is be persistent and have good grades.

after saying all of that I will say that if the ECNL programs are training more than competing than I'm surprised and happy because that is the model that we all should be wanting.

these kids shouldn't be competing for anything really until they are 18 years old...until then they should be training more than competing. That is the problem with youth soccer, we force kids to compete before they know how to play.

if your DD (especially U15 and younger) is playing more than 45 games per year than you are failing your child.
your DD should have at least for practices for every game played, anything less and you are failing your child.

Not when they play all of their backups. That's what they do in NWCL to get them playing time.
