No, there is some talent and she is a very good player. The question is if the Portland ECNL teams are any good. Look specifically at the U18 results in ECNL and NWCL and you will find your answer.

Great player but she hasn't been playing. Lots of injuries and girls quitting that don't want to play in college now. Not an excuse but it was rough up in Seattle this weekend. I think that FC and CU should have combined U18.

And of course finalizing their HS experience with friends. It's not surprising that this age group is struggling for numbers here in Portland. In other cities with more population, you have a better chance of filling out the rosters with college bound players and girls who love soccer and are willing to put in that time committment for one last year.

If you think that being a high school star means everything, consider this interesting stat: not a single one of the projected starting players in next weekend's Super Bowl received a 5-star rating (the highest available) coming out of high school.

There are similar statistics for soccer but this is a newer read. High school ball is not a good indicator for many reasons... first and foremost it depends on the strength of the high school team which isn't dependent on one player.

I'm looking at that list and I don't see any one of them that I would not want on my team.
