Will never happen with the egos involved. ECNL is going to crash here anyway just the same way youth soccer is in such terrible shape. The guys running ECNL here were involved in helping to destroy the youth leagues here. It would be best to get those losers out of control of ECNL. It's only a matter of time until Porland loses membership if these guys remain in place.

When are the ECNL teams going to play anyone besides last place teams? Is this part of Tom's plan so that he can actually get a few wins?

Look at the schedules if you want to know. It's not a top secret thing like the Thorns schedule.

Yea, that discussion is between two or three TA lemmings on this site. They are jealous of ECNL and can't stand the fact that their dd is not good enough to be on ECNL. They also can't stand the fact that OYSA is spiraling into a rec plus league of TA juice box clubs playing each other over and over again.

If your dd is not good enough to be on any of these teams than why do you care?

Haha. So true. At least back in the ODP days they had one pool and picked the best players which equated to the majority of the best players being on one team rather than 3. The level of play was always SIGNIFICANTLY different between the ODP A traveling team and the remaining pool. Our current ECNL system doesn't have even this amount of consolidation.

And to boot, there are players on the rosters whose dads bought their way on via club donations and participation on the board. Sad but true.

Even more so on the Academy. It's ridiculous how some of those kids got on the roster! And you can tell by the performance they put up this past weekend!!!

                    Without any criteria or standard

The '3' Oregon clubs who decided they wanted to play in the Northwest division of 'Elite Clubs' National League were not required to anything more than ask to be part of another league.

This type of movement to a league that will just take your club and players, without having any recent record of achievement is really unique.
(Please refrain from saying we did really well in the OPL Jamboree/League/Cup and advanced to National stages of US Club Soccer. With it's fabricated infrastructure that sends an Oregon team to a National Cup simply by signing up. Not unlike the move to the 'Elite Clubs' League.)

Now they have a chance to prove they belong in this league or prove that the league will just take anyone willing to be part of it to fill out a geographic need for more teams.

                    Interesting move.

Good luck to the 3 clubs who gone ALL IN!.

                    Make Oregon Proud!

And Thorns Academy had their chance to show that they belonged in a tier 3 league like FWRL and did nothing but look like a bunch of chumps. Good luck to them in the OYSA Rec+ league. Maybe they'll actually win a game!

Nobody ever said it was anything other than a league. Stop being such a jerk. They are trying best they can. Sure it's hard and not as good as hoped but we will become elite someday I know it in my heart of hearts.

This is pretty common. Don't make out like its unusual.

Lot of parents that bought their DD's way onto OYSA "A" teams too. Didn't cost much but most of the clubs don't take EBT cards.

So if you are honestly stating this, then why all of the crap pushed at the Thorns?
