Turns out there are 27 of them, including the Thorns Academy. And they could only get 6 of them into FWRL/NWCL. The other 21 must be rec-level at best.

Sure, there are greater achievements for NW teams, like playing in the ECNL. But in this region NWCL is the best competition there is. And the TA had exactly ZERO teams in it. Says something about the quality of the TA teams and their "leadership".

Hmmm. 27 teams spread over 8 Timbers clubs (can't forget Thorns Academy). 3.375 teams per club. Most of the clubs can't even field 1 team in each age group. And these are supposed to be Oregon's "best" clubs? Backed by a "professional" organization? With tons of developmental resources? If that's true, Oregon soccer is in big trouble.
