Brett is really struggling to find enough coaches for the coming season. He has several he HAS to jettison and he needs more than last year to put the age group coordinator positions in place. Looks like only a few of the younger ages will get the true Academy treatment this year.

Which is what I told people to expect. Not a ton of changes this year on the surface. You should see throughout the year coaches who are buying into his philosophy and changes in that way. But as far as a complete academy set up, that will take time to get there. I wouldn't be shocked if its focused on the jr academy (easy to set that one up), and carry it into the younger ages over the years so they are used to that sort of system.

Plan on seeing heads roll next year. You can't expect in 60 days for Brett to have new coaching staff and implement his philosophy 100%

I don't think too many heads will roll. I think coaches will generally WANT to follow the new way. I think coaches were/are craving this kind of structure and will likely appreciate that their new role has more meaning. But yes, everything takes time.

A good way to show that he really intends to improve things is to form only as many teams as he has good coaches for. Of course, that will reduce revenue at a time when the club will have huge loan payments to make but...

Or actually work with the coaches to improve the overall quality even the ones that aren't "top" coaches in your eyes, so in a few years they raise their profile to a better level.

And I must have been th 50th applicant because I submitted one as well. I have no experience, but I am great at slicing oranges.

Is it true that SD is now peeling oranges and wiping noses up at SCFC? Finally put him in a position he's earned. Next step, working the washroom at some throwback night club handing out paper towels and fresh mints. All done with the used car salesman smile.

He's found a home at SCFC. Somewhat humorous that he's taking sloppy seconds from the guy he drove out of WT_FC. Karma is alive and well.

Just look at the coach that moved over from the G'01's. That coached told Joe F. That he would bring over 20 players from vantucky timbers if he could be head coach. In the end only 4 incompetent families followed this whack job, one of which he had to beg the coaching staff to take on the team. She doesn't belong on this team. Now he is running around like he owns the place while the original head coach who has been with the club for a long time gets screwed.

Typical crap. Pacific and Vantucky are looking good right about now.

Not sure on the numbers on who came over, but the prior coach just came over just last year from Pacific, because he thought he could do it better. He brought no one over and made a rec. team at best, pulling lots of girls up a year to even field a team. Now he is the assistant coach for the new team. Welcome to FCSC.
