I know the split league thing has made both the OPL and OYSA look pretty pathetic, but are there even High School aged teams still playing in the OYSA League? I'm talking girls, no one cares about the boys.

Isn't this what the newly formed 'thorns academy' will be playing in or are they just doing FWRL?

So let's look at this logically. ECNL took roughly 40-50 kids per age bracket. By previous angry accusation on here very few OYSA kids came across. So that means the top 2-3 teams outof each OPL age have moved. Looking at past years league results, if you take away the Timbers teams, plus take away the top 40 OPL girls you are left with a ton of at best mediocrity. Consider now OYSA by your same admission above, not many players left OYSA teams, these will largely be the same brackets as last year. Not a lot of drop in competitiveness. Sorry but logic bears out the opposite of your conclusion.

History does not bear out yours. Meaning your a parent of a dd U14 or below. your logic only goes that far. You'll see. OPL has all the strong hs clubs. OYSA does not. ECNL or not it's still the league with clubs that have the HS teams. Any player that wants to play club soccer in HS will move to one of those clubs (as they always do) So again your logice is skewed as is your league.

Academy will end up playing OPL league games in a year or two.
All the noise they are making now about competitiveness is only meant to confuse the general soccer consumer and hopefully bolster the OPL numbers. In reality I don't see that happening. OPL is going to face a long road for the non ECNL teams. If as a league they had any concern for their customers they would give up on the smoke and mirrors and encourage folks to play in an unified league.
Obviously that won't happen...
