You would get more bang for your buck at WPFC or Crossfire.

There are actually a lot of people bitching about the ECNL costs in Oregon. The only one's who aren't are the parents of kids who aren't any good and the only way they got on an ECNL roster in the first place is that the tryouts were low and her dad can pay for it. It's sad that ECNL is going to be such a lousy experience for her, what with chasing the other players all around the field, losing the ball constantly, making long runs back toward her goal chasing the forward with the ball. It's not going to be pretty for her.

You know you've won the argument when all they have left is to correct your grammar.

Actually, that's not a correction of grammar, but rather a correction in meaning and intent. I hope in real life you express yourself more clearly than you do on here otherwise I suspect you have a very confused family and group of coworkers.

Very convincing argument. I will see If I can get my training fees refunded and have my dd go back to WST before they head down to Medford and chase them around hoping to get a touch..

Then why was it all DOC's sitting on the OPC making the decisions for the clubs? Why was there never a question that had to be referred back to the boards? It was a power grab by 8 ego heavy DOCs who felt they were the smartest/bestest, and would entertain no question of what they are doing…You can see the same attitude in the organizations they each run today, and really the shiv that split the OPC was their egos being too big to all fit in one room together...

Are you the dad of the former LO player whose dad bought her spot on the team? Don't worry, you can say so. Everybody knows that's how she made the team.

They were making decisions regarding the structure of the league and player development activities run by the league. All were, or should have been if they weren't, controlled by their respective boards. Some were. Some weren't. The rogues ran away to hide under the TA umbrella.

Because I am sure the THUSC board controlled Tom...is that what you really believe? He was the loosest cannon out of all of them. Having sat at multiple OPC meetings through many conversations there was never a comment made that "oh I should check with my board about that." These 8 saw themselves as the great sages running soccer. If you disagree, then you must not have been paying much attention.

Or maybe you were just seeing what you wanted to see?

This is funny. I sat on the board with one of the other greats. There was NOTHING up for real discussion, not that anyone tried. Most of the board members were there to make it look right and to help with administrative activities. All decisions were made by one.

That's the fault of the board members, not of the "greats".
