Why is it called the opl?

They should call it the PMPL.

It's not the Oregon Premier League it's the Portland Metro Premier League.

Can't blame them. I'm not a fan of heading south for hours to beat up on super rec teams from down the valley. We spend way more in gas then we get in return. Foam fingers don't cost that much.

Once more and this time in English. Or when you are sober.

You have a problem with drunken Gresham caveman language? You must be a cunning linguist....

OPL is for the rich liberal elite that don't want to travel

Actually all the rich liberal elite want to travel and have their dd's in ECNL so for the first time in their life they can brag about their dd being on an "elite" team.

Versus? Playing on Eastsides B team? Kick shins in Clackams? Stoke the fire of competition in Medford?

Stop it. You are being very transparent with your remarks.

And the last thing OPL wants is transparency...

It brings up the old rule of thumb that when an organization features a laudatory adjective in their name they probably aren't what they say.

                            ie
"Worlds best cup of Coffee" - actually pretty horrible
"Tasty cafe" - probably pretty grungy

Applying the same logic, OPL would be anything but premier, and ECNL anything but Elite.

If you have to put the word in your name it probably doesn't fit. The best don't have to shout.
