What do you expect them to do? Berate themselves? Shame themselves publicly? They lost. They should be proud of any result like that. Of course they would have preferred to win, but a 1-0 result against one of the best teams in the country is a good result.

Oregonians should be proud that we have a team of this caliber out there representing us well.

Actually what you call jealousy is a widespread reaction to season after season of chest thumping and claiming to be the "best ever". Perhaps it is only a few ONYX parents, but they have created an image of arrogance that many people react to.

Our Sons have been involved on another highly successful team, but we choose to fly under the radar, and we don't get the reactions you seem to be calling shame on.

The reality is those ONYX parents created the bed and now don't want to lay in it. Simply put arrogance breeds contempt. Hopefully these hard working girls see that reality and steer clear of it. Hopefully as ONYX enters this next stage where they will be challenged by a higher level if play the first thing they develop is some humility.
