    WT_FC "Relegated" in RCL

From the latest Regional Club Subcommitte meeting minutes:

"Membership: WA Timbers will be addressed with a change in status from a voting member to a non-voting member and a remote Association so that their best teams may be entered into the league at the lowest divisions on an individual basis at U13 and older. Current team commitments do not meet the threshold for voting membership."

No more Division 1/2/3 for the Timbers. Pissed away another great advantage the club had...

I can't wait to hear the excuses as to why and the reasons why it really doesn't matter...

Hey Dipsh!t-- it's part of being a TA Club. The Timbers have required them to play in the Oregon leagues. Has nothing to do with level of skill or finances or what the DOC's want, etc. Just part of the TA agreement.

But I guess you'll have to get used to having your Oregon state champions being from Washington.

mmmm, I'm pretty sure all of the bashing is coming from your neighbors north of the river.

Another fine example of why it was a terrible idea to join the Timbers Alliance. We were promised at the time that top teams could still play RCL. While technically still true, div 4 isn't very appealing. Nice work WT-FC!

And I'm pretty sure there are plenty of d-bags south of the river... If they hadn't bashed yet it was only a matter of time. Glad the other poster clarified what is actually going on to put it to rest. It's too bad the person who started the thread was too stupid to understand, and now looks like an idiot.

The only idiots are those defending the stupidity and incompetence of the DoCs and management of WT-FC...

Lol. 'And your Oregon State Champions.... The Washington Timbers!' Has a nice ring to it.

Except they don't have any teams good enough to even come close. But I suppose that's better than getting thumped hard every spring in the WA state cup...

That ring is a sound only you hear. Sorry the doctor can't do anything about it, but those drugs you did in your youth are coming back to haunt you.

Losing status in the RCL is a big deal. That was the ONLY competitive advantage WT-FC had over other area clubs. Now they are no different than any other club and provide no compelling reasons for group players to choose them.

Wa timbers can still play rcl. B98 and B99 are both playing rcl 1 in Fall. Can your club play rcl? Rcl 1 for that matter? Oh wait, looks like there's still a difference.
