Yes there were 30 plus for both age groups at TWO clubs. Wha wha wha that can't be because ECNL sucks and is only for rich kids.

ECNL teams, have hope, there are 60+ Girls who will be back in the pool for you to try to convince to come over after the academy takes the best ones. You can hope to get eight or nine to come over to get your numbers up to 20-21 on your teams.

Based upon some of the comments on this board, it appears that the numbers are indeed going to be big at the tryouts. Where are the ECNL lovers now? I'm sure that out of 85+ players there will be 15-20 very good ones at least. Hope there are a few friendlies between the academy and the ECNL teams.

Da point is having 117 try out for two age groups for one 25 person roster for lower cost soccer does not say anything about the soccer that will be played or the coaching that will be coached.
It only means that there are a lot of parents who don't have big bucks to spend on their DD's for just soccer.

What it "should" tell every other club in the area is that there is a HUGE demand for putting together quality traveling teams at these age groups for an economical fee.

The poiint is this team will be much better than either of the ECNL teams, who are scrambling to get to 16 players to accept offers.
