This is all mood point as boundaries are going away anyways. Affiliations will be based on MLS radius.

My "mood point" is this. If this was the plan and was great in nature, I am quite certain that WT_FC celebrated this plan to it's board and, most importantly, to it's customers during try-outs. You know, something like this. "We know we are the only club in SW WA that can play in RCL, but we have told them we don't want that right anymore so we can play in the TA league. Now, all of you parents who are on our Red teams that want to play the best teams in the NW won't have to travel ALL the way to Seattle anymore, you can play incredible teams in the TA. You are welcome."
Give me a break. Just be honest about it, this is a colossal mess-up. You have opened the door for another club in SW WA to get this right which would signal the end to WT_FC as a "premier" club.

WT_FC Annual General Meeting is tonight at 6pm at Luke Jensen. I'm sure this is where they'll roll out their grand vision and plan for the (bleak) future...

When they have matured and the game becomes more important I think it's great to have that opportunity to do RCL.
Boys will always do RCL from U14 on anyways due to HS.
and you're right....it is mood point....top players will be leaving anyways from U14-U18 to the Timbers Academy.

with NWCL there is no need for RCL at younger ages. It's a smart move by ***C. Besides, they are invested into the PTFC and Thorns. It's great that they still have the option as the only RCL club in Clark County.
The reason they lost their voting rights was because they did not have any teams over the past 4 years in RCL at younger ages. ***C still has a great relationship with RCL and will continue to send boys teams there from U14 and on.
Next up is combining the OYSA and RCL....talks are under way and hopefully will be finalized prior to Fall of 2015. There will be a North and South League....both called RCL. That would be exciting for the boys and girls

I heard the Sounders mens and women were going to put their name on the RCL Leagues....and that Crossfire is pissed off about that because they have their own academy and want nothing to do with Sounders.....
basically you will be looking at two leagues.....Sounders RCL North and Timbers/Thorns RCL South....it will be interesting how they structure it.

New Board...... Now what
So VT you have a new Board and the same challenges. What changes are you going to take to make any meaningful progress?
If you really are close to getting the loan for the Harmony turf shout it from the roof tops. If not give us the target date and set bench marks between now and then.
If you are going to eliminate parent coaches at the premier level let us know.
If you really are going to accelerate the coach training how about telling us what the curriculum is and publishing a schedule?
Transparency and communication is not only the key to a better informed membership but letting the rest of the soccer community know where you are headed builds a positive Brand Image of a professional organization that helps you attract more and better players AND coaches!

Isn't there a group of parents willing to take on the problem and move the club to act in a more professional manner?
