    You are comical.

You really think that coaching college girls is the same as coaching club girls? And you picked one coach. Do they all coach college? Please let us know.

Wow I'm impressed by your succinct and thoughtful analysis of the relative merits of the coaches in each organization. I never knew name calling was how you became a sports analyst?

Why don't you talk about playing style or past player development and team results outside the state?

The same tired bland club coaches who have done nothing to improve the game in Oregon for Girls Soccer at these clubs will continue to do nothing with the new and improved moniker ECNL.

              THUSC is still THUSC.

FC Portland is still FC Portland.

              &

Crossfire United is still Southside/LOSC & WUSC.

At least in the Timbers DA they hire outside the flunkies in the PDX area..

That would be his wife as he had to "marry in" and even then I'm not so sure she cares either!

Actually, quite a few do. Even you because you cared enought to comment, your flunkie cared enough too. Unfortunately, we want to know what your coach has accomplished. Please list his deeds in developing girls teams that compete out of state. Show us his resume for being given the responsibility for your ECNL team. If a coach is so important to the Academy teams, why wasn't it for your ECNL team? Did you do any due dilligence on him? He's new to all of the girls, so do you have any idea if he will be a voice that your team responds to? He had a team last year at U16 that finished second or third in OPL, yet still couldn't beat the WST team in two games and ended up losing to them in the tournament championship game. The OC blue team was also in that tournament and didn't even make it to the championship game. No wonder, that team was coached by FM.

Which two teams do these coaches coach. Forgive me, I haven't been following this thread until now, so I'm trying to catch on.

I did not realize that Tina, Sorin, and Janine were outside of the PDX area.

I hope those are the coaches. US National team playing/coaching experience from Tina and Janine. Sorin is one of the top 3 keeper coaches in the state and is a value to any program.

Would be great to see these 3 work together. What are the other possibilities for coaches?

These are the coaches. Eric sent out an email a little earlier today announcing the coaches.

Looks like Thorns pulled through. Was nervous that we were going to get one of their token coaches from ODP, hence my DD going to ECNL tryouts as well. This might actually be exciting. Janine and Tina are both coaches that are respected outside of OR and with strong collegiate and national ties. Probably the best move the Timbers/Thorns have made in years. See you at tryouts.

Anyone who has done odp on the girls side will tell you it's a mistake.

My DD has done soccer on the girls side and has had Janine as a coach. We couldn't be happier with this choice. Stop trolling. This could possibly be the best coaching combination offered at the moment.
