Good thing the girls in the Thorns Academy will get to practice with this loser team...

That is usually the score when FCP plays Eastside, Westside, or Bend Timbers.

Hopefully the Timbers teams learn something from the loss. If the ECNL teams lose 5-0, hopefully they will learn something too.

The Thorns are one of the clubs carrying this league right now. If they don't turn this around soon, the Thorns Youth Academy might be the only Thorns team in town.

My daughter is on one of the newly formed ECNL teams. Doesn't matter if you choose the ECNL path, the Thorns path, or whatever path. We should all be supporting the Thorns and womens soccer as a whole. I have a daughter who loves to play soccer and would love to play professionally. Just because she chose the ECNL path does not mean she does not support the Thorns. She does. So do I. I am absolutely pro ECNL, but I sincerely hope the Thorns and women's soccer is around for a very long time.

SHe must be U14. Thorns aren't an option for her now anyway. The academy is only U17 and will be open to 97, 98, 99.

They said they choose the ECNL path not that they are going to tryout for the Thorns Academy that doesn't exist (while they did say they support it anyway)....but you do have a lot of TA families on hear who think that it is going to happen for U14 this year.

Why must be U14? WPFC and Xfire WA have selected their U15-U18 teams already...

If she is traveling to Seattle right now, then that tells you a lot about what she thinks of the potential of the Portland ECNL teams.
