It is interesting any of the truly high level teams Travel, OPL didn't want to travel...hopefully you see where I am going. OPL wanted to claim premiere, but they didn't want any of the inconvenience. Sorry it doesn't work that way.
    This makes no sense.

A vast majority of the more quality teams / clubs are located in in the Portland Metro / SW Washington area.

And yes, it does work that way.

"Traveling" from say Eugene which does have some good teams outside the area to Portland to play some Aloha United super rec team. It's a waste of their time and money. It doesn't make sense. That is why they don't want to travel in state, unless that team has proven themselves. That is why teams would have to travel to Portland at U11/U12 (to show they were competitive).
Many of the larger clubs previously and still in the OPL do travel, but that mean leaving the state to test the waters of teams typically equal to or better then their own. This will be enhanced greatly with the academy and ECNL.

Have some self respect and don't talk about things you have zero understanding about.

The entire premise of your argument doesn't even make sense. Why would anyone join a club at u11 if only 3 will be left at u18? Sounds like a developmental problem at your club.

So if you are making a case for opl clubs then that is a pretty garbage point considering your kid will not be developed enough to keep their spot from a ta player developed at younger ages and recruited by a car salesman at another club.

      Which is it?

Probably a good idea for you to go back to your worksheets and coloring.
You are a little too smart for them. Maybe if you wrote it in crayon they would understand.

If you really think about it, if there are 7000 kids participating in ECNL spending about $7000 each per year and you are looking at $49,000,000.00 being spent every year on girls kids soccer for just one league. That is mind-boggling!! If you factor in parent travel you are looking at $100 million dollars per year. Over 3-4 years the number is staggering.

The biggest cheers when ECNL was announced for Portland were coming from the airlines and travel agents. Alaska Air and Southwest should profit nicely from this.

If you really think about it there are approx. 268 teams playing in TA/OYSA, and only 10 are premiere teams. That is staggering.

Well they certainly weren't going to make any money off of TA/OYSA teams as they don't travel.

If by more you mean an offer from Willamette University, then I guess so.

I think he meant more than just Timbers Alliance teams playing each other with MLS patches and foam fingers.

Our local ECNL teams remain afraid to post rosters. Many of the other teams have posted. Boise, WPFC, .... and they don't play until December just like ours. ECNL parents, you should be upset, the ECNL clubs are too ashamed to put your dd's name out there.

ECNL parents know who made the team and the ECNL clubs don't care what anonymous fools think on the internet think.

Sorry to burst your bubble there skippy, but they aren't posted. Our clubs can't even post rosters correctly, how in the world are they going to compete in ECNL? Oh that's right, the U14s demonstrated that they can't. They are going to be awful.
