Just a curious question to see what people think about DOCs coaching instead of overseeing staff.

Answer: no
If they aren't acting like obsessive idiots with this they will start telling their kids teachers how to teach...oh wait they already do that.

DOCs need to stick with office work and use that higher education of there "national licenses" to actually make there club better. Like coaching up or teaching there lower level coaches to coach better.
Parents should not STFU we pay good money for good solid training not to play World Cup and play tag games by our own DOC!!!!!!!!!!!!

Better Question
Do these DOC's at local community based recreational non-profit soccer clubs that are staffed by over 90% parent volunteer coaches and board members really get salaries in the 100K + range?
Seems like the Egyptian pharaohs tried this method when the used the slaves to build the pyramids. At least the pharaohs along with the slaves put out a product for the world to marvel at.
All we can marvel at is the insane salaries, little else.

No they should not coach but have the ability to coach if necessary. Should a principal of a school teach? No but have the ability to if need be. There job is to over see everything and everyone under them. If they have too many teams that they are coaching than they lose sight of the bigger picture and making the club better.

They can't do that because they have too many teams that they coach. Our DOC coaches 4 teams
