Seems as if they would have gone 14v14 at u10 if it would have got them more money?
Wouldn't have mattered. Your kid still wouldn't have made the "A" team at a real club.

Is that why our players are being recruited by the ECNL clubs to come over? And when you win all the time, that isn't opinion, that's results. Can't wait to see the ECNL results from the first year. It's going to be a long first couple of years for these teams.

W-T-F-c holding tryouts on Mothers' Day

Website shows that W-T-F-c is still holding tryouts today.

Gawd, things must be really bad there.

That's as bad as the Crossfire United U14 ECNL team still holding spots open in the hope that some decent girls show up. In essance, that team is holding tryouts every day.

It is ridiculous the amount of criticism on this forum dedicated to disparaging the ECNL. If you don't want to participate, don't!

It is clear that other clubs are worried about the ECNL. The tryout situation was difficult for both clubs considering there was about a week between tryouts and when their acceptance was officially announced. No one can expect that to turn out well. HS tryouts will be the most telling.

Preliminary reports are that tryouts at THUSC and FC Portland were much higher this year. There was a migration of players. Primarily away from WST and TS. To be honest, this isn't much of a surprise considering who runs those WST.
They need to own up to the situation that initial tryouts didn't go as well as expected, they need to own that perhaps they didn't do a good enough job getting information out, and they need to cease their persecution complex that somehow the TA and WST are behind every failure or hiccup they experience.

They can make changes so future tryouts will go better, and they will have greater turnouts, but that isn't going to happen as long as they blame other people for their own problems.

The reason putting blame on someone else is so stupid is because then to fix anything you have to wait for the other person to change.

Not this Coney person but it's pretty funny the obsession you have with calling his name here.

Winning all the time means your team is a big fish in a little pond. Time to move up a division or two. You don't necessarily get better playing better competition, but you have a better chance then you would by beating up on lousy teams and driving 3 hours to do it.

Well no worries, supplemental tryouts will be held all this week and next for all those who stayed away on Mother's Day.

Not Coney, but starting to be board of how whenever someone calls out the ECNL/OPL folks, particularly with suggestions that might help, your dodge is to call them names, either obscene, or one of your hated folk.

It might do you some good to actually consider what is being said...you might be able to get better from it.

This argument and line cracks me up every time I hear it.

TA clubs were half of the founding members of OPL, correct? They managed OPL while they were in it, correct. Are you indicting and pointing the finger at your own clubs or just the other half.

You realize when you say OPL did nothing you are talking about your own clubs, correct?

So you realize that the leaders who followed you and romanced you to OPL are the same as are now leading the dreaded OYSA don't you?

Let me guess now you will say it doesn't matter, because your club is strong?

My greatest irritation with the OPL-maniacs is how quickly they talk out of both sides of their mouth. In one case OYSA and TA are controlled by the manipulative folks at the top of the TA, yet under the same leadership at OPL you will try to make us believe that the clubs were independent?

If an ECNL club would take us lock stock and barrel we would go. Moving would make us weaker as individuals. Seems like an easy choice.

Maybe a college will take them as well.
