Most all the OYSA folks are gone. The one OPL/OPC hated the most resigned last year.
Same arse still hanging out in what is left of OPC.
Mirror Mirror on the wall, who be the stupid one of all.
Helium is looking for stupid help.
Accordingly they are the ones pretending to negotiate a reunification of the leagues. I do not pretend to know all the details but the rumors put the blame for the failure to reach an acceptable agreement to both sides at the Timbers feet.
I wish the Oregonian would do a story so that we would have a more objective reporting of the goings on.

You make it quite clear
Originally posted by Unregistered View PostGavin, Cony, Bain were the ring leaders of the original OPL split...... And look at that!! They are the same manipulating group behind the move back to OYSA lining their pockets in the process.
That's why Gavin, Cony and Bain are mentioned as leaders in Oregon ad nauseam by posters here on talking soccer.com
So what if their souls are Ugly, Crazy or Nostalgic they carry the torch for youth soccer in Oregon.
The OPL is left with hopeless puppet clowns as DOC's who have no leadership or 'manipulating' skill..Just the ability to cash the company check.
On 2nd thought I think they(OPL LEFTOVERS) really have the most manipulating power--the ability to take hard earned cash from naive families..
Where can I make a deposit?

Ugh - we need ONE league. Two leagues, two ECNL teams/clubs and a Thorns Academy. Great. Both leagues will be like rec leagues. All the good players who can afford it will have to go ECNL/Academy to get any consistent competition. The good players who can't afford it will be even more screwed.

Edit - by the way, didn't mean that is a swipe. It is what it is.Last edited by Slow Xavi; 06-29-2014, 12:04 AM.
