OPL Supporters Who Root Against the Portland Timbers

The OPL v. OYSA fight is terrible on both sides. However, I especially hate that the Timbers got involved in youth sports, made some teams their "favorite" namesakes and abandoned the rest. Why are some youth players more important to the Timbers than others? I get the Elite players funneling there, but random clubs across Oregon and Washington?

Our club used to support the Timbers. We organized bringing our teams to the matches, volunteering, etc. That hasn't happened since the Timberization of Youth Soccer. Personally, we cancelled our season tickets and stopped buying all of their merchandise.

This is such a load of overhyped DOC Propaganda. The Timbers Alliance is comprised of clubs that applied to join, they share many common elements, but saying they are the timbers favorite namesakes is like two three year olds arguing that "mom loves you more..." There is no split between TA and the rest of the OYSA league.

Your DOC must have you pretty enhanced that you would cancel your season tickets and no longer support the team. I guess that is your choice, and whoever purchased your season tickets is probably enjoying them much more than you did.

I would be interested if you asked your DOC to actually show evidence of this supposed bias or discrimination, what would he offer?
