Yeah right. OYSA is now the little sister to OPL.

Other than the boys Academy, the OPL has pretty much holds all the cards:

      ECNL
NWCL now an official US Club National Premier League
Top local tournaments: FCP Showcase, LO Nike Cup, Mt. Hood (Willamette)
Player Development Program launched to support id2 and compete with ODP
Only about 50% of the clubs/teams actually moved from OPL to OYSA when Timbers were anticipating a much higher percentage

Is it really any surprise that OYSA/Timbers are suddenly willing to negotiate towards an eventual reunification of the leagues?

You are one crazy looney. Everything you just listed there is all 2nd rate. Id2 is rtc a B team.

Nwcl doesn't change and it still second tier

        FCp showcase is garbage

And from what I hear, their is a max exodus from opl clubs because they don't want to pay for ecnl teams including boys.

Fantastic! Sounds like you have found a good place for your daughter over in the OYSA. Not sure why you care about us losers who stayed in OPL. Seems to me you should have your back to us heading out into OYSA heaven. Instead you are here talking about OPL.

The final lunacy is the comment about OYSA being willing to negotiate towards and eventual reunification of the leagues. The holdout has always been OPL's last three. One of two things will happen to these three (now 2) clubs. They will either be so successful with ECNL that they will have no time or interest in OPL, or they will fall into a flaming bankruptcy...we will have to see which, but the die is cast...whatever will happen will happen.

And do you realize your headline is about the death of OPL? That is much more believable that ECNL will spell the end of OPL.
