That will be their first ECNL games against a non-PDX team. Better hope it isn't a trip down south and is instead a trip east. Might have a chance against FC Nova and Utah. At lest be able to keep it to losing by two goals. Trips north or south might be whoppings.
As a parent of a daughter on one of the U14 ECNL teams, I care more about her individual skill development and team development then whether they get first place or not this year. We're taking the long view. We're doing what we think is best for her and I'm confident you will do what is best for your daughter.
Getting your jollies out of whether little girls at this age lose a soccer game is pretty pathetic.

Although they didn't give you a lot of time to do that, did they? We are doing ours and some of the information on here is helpful. It's causing us to ask lots of questions and to look at ECNL for the facts, not the marketing. And yes, thank you very much, we are doing what is best for our dd. We are waiting to see what all of the options are and will try out for the teams and situations which we think are best. That may or may not be ECNL. We will look at the academy and we are fortunate to have a very good non-ECNL team in our age group that we might try out at.

If you are serious about seeking out information, this is the WORST possible place which means you are only posting here to cause problems.

If you are taking the long view, you are in the wrong place.
Firstly you would not be on an ECNL team that is paying out the nose to travel across the country to play teams when their are 4-5 teams within 20 miles that would easily beat or challenge your kid. Then you will have 3-4 teams that your dd's team wouldn't have a hard time to beat so they are able to get some success in new development.
Secondly you would not be playing on a team that has already stated they are going to roster 22-25 tp manage costs (Worse development for money,,,go figure) Already you will have 5-7 players NOT playing because they can't roster over 18. On top of that if you do play, you will be only playing 50% of the game because of the 7 subs on the bench.
Thirdly you will find more kids quitting because of burnout 10x over the amount that ever are successful past U18, so why are you traveling MORE when your kid is clearly NOT good enough to be very successful in OREGON.

You don't know my daughter, so why do you care? I don't judge my daughter's development by how many games she wins when she is 12-13 years old. Winning some games so she feels good does not equal development.
You do what you want to do for your daughter. I'll do what I want to do with my daughter. Win both win in the end.
