Yes, sitting and watching the ECNL games is great for development. Playing on the lower team against diluted talent will also help a bunch. But hey, it's only time and money.

And who will your DD be playing against? Diluted talent also? Or is there some new Oregon league that is better than either OPL or OYSA?

So worst case is same competition as not doing ECNL but with double the training for only $500. Maybe the Thorns Academy will offer 2 practices per week every week for $500 also but I kinda doubt it...

The point is between FCP, UC and ENCL, all the information is out there. Why post on an anonymous soccer blog? Anyone remotely interested will look the information up, call and talk to the clubs that got ENCL, not take advice from an anonymous soccer blogger with 'friends on teams across the country.".

Exactly. Ecnl is so great that people will give FC Portland their money to be on a average or below team....on top of the idea that they simply won't be playing. 3-4 a game and the. 18 on there only get half a game. Sounds like a hell of a deal!

But at least GS is telling everyone they're being considered for UP.

Not judging by ecnl tryouts. When you can only get 15 to a tryout and the ones with 22-25 that have 2-3 of the best players... Sounds like a screaming deal!

First you said it was going to get all the best players, next it was just trying to get enough to fill an idiot idea of a 22 person roster.

Now its, below average but at least they are better than TA team which is clearly not true at all. Even if they were, that's not exactly the super elite you sold everyone on.

What's next ecnl salesman? Its funny when you can't go on merit or even overblown rhetoric.
